“I would call that a moment of emergence because what you did was you
opened up a whole new world for us.” - Sej Saraiya
Is there a theme this week?
Not one that pops out at me.
Maybe you see one.
If not, enjoy the stories as a snapshot of this moment in time as I set off to what I anticipate will be an weekend of emergence at the World Culture Film Festival.
Acknowledge Earth Is Our Home
One of the story elements I share in the context of Earth Archetypes is that growing upon a farm gifted me the knowledge that strawberries came from the ground and not from a box.
One of the delicious gifts of living in the Pacific Northwest is that I also eat blackberries straight from the bush.
My neighbors unintentionally grow a bramble next door. Today 5 ripe berries popped before my eyes...and into my mouth. Yum!
Even though I've worked in creative fields my entire career, I never viewed myself as particularly creative -- definitely not an artist.
In fact, I remember discovering stage management was a thing and felt my life calling had finally been found. And I did rock it. Giving myself the slogan, "Organizing Creative Energy."
Becoming what the world calls a "creative" 4 years ago was an interesting change in my view of self and even changed the way I need to schedule my days.
Then today I talked to a new friend who took the Earth Archetype quiz 2 weeks ago. He's read the report several times. And his comment was that each time he felt a little giddy about the superpowers that both resonated with him and called him out to grow to fulfill.
As a result, we are talking about me leading workshops with four start up communities he organizes to help the individuals involved create emotional and energetic personal mission statements to build their foundation on.
The point is... Earth Archetypes were developed to grow into. To create a path from anxeity to action. To step into that amazing place of emergence where 1 + 1 = 3.
What could be waiting for you on the other side?
This week's Earthmates podcast episode with Sej and Anabelle is all about this.
They are both Weavers who took the current quiz, so off course we dug deep into that.
But from intro to conclusion, we also talk a lot about how we met (Thanks Carole Joyce!), and how we are working together as a result to create "Entertainment that Uplifts" at the World Culture Film Festival.
Would love to hear your a-has from the convo!
And I'm Off!
