Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday

“For instance, when I go to the premiere on Tuesday I probably won't watch the film at all - I'll be watching the audience just to see their reaction to different moments, what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong, stuff like that." -- Devon Sawa

Looking back on my posts about the world premiere of "How on Earth? LIVE," I enjoyed seeing that without consciously thinking about it, the styles fit into the 3 Step Reciprocity Cycle. So here's a type of Throwback Thursday from this past week.

Acknowledge Earth Is Our Home

I had so much fun coming up with the 3 mocktails and their matching snacks I’ll be serving during the VIP meet & greet before “How on Earth? LIVE” at 6pm on Sept 22 during Climate Week NYC.

One has its origins here in Oregon (where I live and play) using the most potent small batch cranberry syrup I’ve ever had from a small farmer on the coast.

Next I’m sourcing a shrub made by a tastemaster voted as Best Bartender in Savannah to celebrate where we plan to film season 1 of the tv show “How on Earth?”

Finally, we had to honor New York City’s heritage with a drink I have yet to taste but has been on soda streams since invented in a Brooklyn candy shop well over a decade ago.

Come join the taste adventure and the theatrical premiere of “How on Earth? LIVE”

dance

The little girl who grew up in a town of 500 shucking corn fresh from the fields and dancing in 4-H share the fun skits….

Would have never imagined that one day she would not only teach theater….

But earn an MA in Theater Production…

Which led to a career in producing live events ranging from transformational festivals in the Oregon high plateau desert to running one of the largest venues at the The Edinburgh Fringe (the worlds largest arts festival)….

To now producing a world premiere in the experimental tradition of off-off Broadway that blends performance, comedy, and climate action.

But these listings (and more on the way!) sure make her smile 🤩

Work Together in Community

Honored to be recognized as one of seven projects in the Climate Film Festival Partner Program at #ClimateWeekNYC.

This September we premiere How on Earth? LIVE — a makeover-style climate storytelling show where five Earth Archetypes team up with one brave New Yorker to ask: “Can Climate Be Cool?”

It’s interactive. It’s unexpected. And it’s the first time this format has ever hit the stage.
