As the melting pot of immediate, short term, and long term priorities I mentioned last week gets a bit more distinguishable, I find myself relishing the moment, capturing stories, and tackling to do lists. The 3 Step Reciprocity Cycle below also touches on these qualities.

Acknowledge Earth Is Our Home

Today I drank clean water -- some of it infused with green tea. I also ate a crisp apple and a savory smoked salmon. I felt the chill morning air on my hands and the warm afternoon sun on my face. I breathed both fresh and contaminated air -- and sensed the stark difference. I touched a shell on my desk that's the perfect size, shape, and smoothness for a worry stone. And I am grateful.

I had a fun conversation with a phenomenal woman based in Atlanta. She's got Dr. in front of her name to designate the PhD she has in the sciences. Yet she has a lot of connections within the music industry. On top of all that, she's just launched a new climate foundation.

So she's clearly got mad Molecule, Weaver, and Metaphor skills.

Now, going into the conversation, I knew she was interested in improving her skills in climate storytelling. And I was delighted to learn she was also raising her hand to audition for a host role in the fully produced show.

So, of course, we had to talk about the Earth Archetypes. And she surprised me!

She identified most strongly with the Embodiment type -- claiming that being a new mom and feeling a connection to an influential grandma that just passed was showing her how important this element of connection is.

As I have always said and will continue to emphasis, the EAs are not intended to put anyone in a box. But they are a helpful set of characters to see a full spectrum of ways to have a relationship with the climate.

Now that my body is back in the circadian rhythm of Pacific Standard time, I've been catching up on all the things. Plus, meeting the immediate needs of the moment. Here's a taste of all the people I've connected with in the past THREE days:
